Kristin Ziemke ‘Amplifies’ EPS!

After spending an amazing day with Kristin Ziemke, the co-author of Amplify, I wanted to share a few highlights from the two workshops she ran.  The morning was spent with the Elementary Principals and Instructional Coaches.  A few technology sites we visited are:

Quick Draw

Kidrex – a child safe search engine for K-8 curated by Teachers and Teacher Librarians

Kiddle – a search engine for children

Pics4Learning – royalty free images for kids to use

MoveNote – one-of-a-kind video presentation tool online and on your portable devices

Our Teacher Librarians also engaged with Kristin and she shared her love of books and a new favorite book, I Am a Story by Dan Yaccarino.  She also walked through several online resources including:

New York Times What’s Going on In This Picture – weekly picture posted to encourage deep questioning without text.

Thank you Kristin!  We look forward to your return in August for One-by-One!
